Sometimes, a technique or exercise resonates deeply, yet translating it from the workshop—where you have time to explore—into the fast-paced, high-precision demands of your job can be challenging.

Your Craft in Action is a five-day workshop designed to bridge that gap, helping you seamlessly transition from the workshop to the workplace with confidence and skill.

I take great pride in supporting young and emerging talents by providing them with disciplined training and opportunities and also to facilitate creative environments for established artists to maintain and explore their craft.

What's Your Scene?

Working with brilliant texts, this program throws actors into the thick of it!

With deliberate casting to stretch, excite and challenge the actors, this is not just a rehearsal of scenes for a showing. The program is designed to demand the application of technique and skill from the actors, all of which will be explored in session. The program ends with an invited audience only showing.

Acting Shakespeare is an undeniably important part of an actor’s development.

Doing Shakespeare is a step by step, three month rehearsal-process program that culminates in a theatre season for invited industry guests and also general public.

A 10 week, 2 days per week, performance based, skills development program exploring differing rehearsal techniques for actors

Actor in the Play is a rehearsal-room environment workshop that explores the actor’s responsibility to the rehearsal, the text, the character, the director’s vision, the ensemble, and the actor’s personal process while working with others.

We've all heard the term 'Character Development', , but how many actors truly know the enormous amount of tried and true techniques to accomplish the task? This 6 day workshop delves DEEP into the processes of this fundamental and necessary element of being a good actor.

Love and Hate - A Workshop

Exploring two of the most complex emotions of any character

The ability to access emotions is imperative to the craft of acting. In this workshop, you will learn how to operate from a deeper emotional core and portray two of the most powerful emotions that every character at some point portrays. through... love and hate!

Voice for Actors

A masterclass in voice to brush up, revitalise, and renew your daily voice practice.

An immersive voice training experience where you will engage in practical exercises, giving you clear tools to maintain your voice, increase support and core vocal strength, range and resonance.

Messing with Meisner

Meisner is one of the greats and cannot be ignored as a superb method of acting.

Messing with Meisner is just what it says it is. How does an actor embrace this fantastic method and make it his/her own? This workshop explores the many uses of the Meisner technique and encourages the actors to diversify and dissect so as to make the technique as useful as possible in their own process.

The Ensemble

Building your Ensemble to be productive and economical in the work.

This PD shares some old, new and sometimes intimate techniques to get the cast on-point as soon as possible.

Whether its a comedy, drama, or satyr, a cast needs to get down to work as soon as possible while nurturing collective empathy that allows the individual qualities of fellow cast members to bravely shine.

The Seven Questions

Its all very well to read the Seven Questions, but how do you apply them on the floor?

For any actor, stage or screen, an understanding of Stanislavski’s Seven Questions is an invaluable foundation upon which to build a character. and to map out the characters journey within the text. They are the road maps that guides you, whatever your personal technique is.

Units and Beats

Units and Beat...you cannot avoid them if you want to do your job well.

Using beats and units to divide a script into moments of action, topics or energy, is a great way to make sure we are serving the characters journey in the scene and play. The theory sounds simple on paper but can be challenging in your actual scene analysis and rehearsal work and must incorporate yours' and the directors' interpretation based on the text.

Voice into Text

This unique workshop, delves deep into the words, sound, and vibrations of the text.

Utilising text from some of the best playwrights and poets of the last century, Voice into Text is a wonderful journey for any actor who wants to experience more about the discovery of character, story and objectives through exploration of the words and the sounds they hold. Consonant, vowels, modulation, they are all part of our mission to tell story. This is an enlightening workshop that opens a whole new world for you as the actor

Psychological Gesture

Aractical application of Michael Chekhov's 'psycho-physical approach' to acting.

One of the basic precepts of the Michael Chekhov technique is that there is “no physical movement without inner movement” (Caracciolo, 2008, p. 12).

Brilliant for those just discovering Chekhov and uplifting for those revisiting the technique.
